Regal silver on a luscious mixture of fresh coconut well mixed with yummy khoya ..these heavenly cubes are like…damn candied to make the day alive ..
Good food always makes our day..don’t you think friends.. I think it as for always.. Its rich fragrance can surely bring you walk miles to adore its taste and drive your starvation..
It tastes godly.. Coconut ..sweet ..saffron ..khoya all intermixed to say that they do not exist alone in this world. Like a family each and every ingredient is a well supporter
And yeah a soulmate for each other…no coconut can melt our taste to the so rich levels ..as it does with khoya..or with sugar…its sweetness can drive a child insane.
If u want a sweet for a weekend.. Its the most appropriate.. Your guests will always arrive to your doorsteps.. Longing to eat some..depending on the way you serve them with dry fruits or some snacks..

Here is the recipe friends..

2 cups grated fresh coconut
1 cup sugar
3/4 cup milk
1/4 cup mava (khoya)
1/2 tsp saffron (kesar) strands , soaked in 1 tbsp of warm milk , refer handy tip
1/2 tsp cardamom (elaichi) powder
3 edible silver foil

For The Garnish
a few almonds (badam) slivers
a few pistachio slivers

Method
Combine the coconut, sugar and milk in a non-stick kadhai, mix well and cook on a medium flame for 15 to 17 minutes, while stirring continuously.Add the saffron-milk mixture, mava and cardamom powder, mix well and cook on a slow flame for approximately 10 minutes or till the coconut mixture becomes sticky and forms a lump.Transfer the coconut mixture onto a greased 175mm. (7”) diameter and 25mm. (1”) thickness thali and spread it evenly using the back of the spoon.Cover the kopra pak with edible silver foil.Allow it to cool for atleast 30 minutes and cut into 15 equal pieces.Garnish with almond and pistachio slivers.
Handy tip:
Warm the saffron, rub it with your thumb, add the warm milk, again rub with your thumb and keep aside for at least 30 minutes.
